TM/TMX Series Oil Mist Traps

When oil rotary vacuum pumps are started or when working in a low vacuum, the vented gas and pump oil contains oil smoke and oil drops. The TM and TMX Series ensure clean work environments, preventing indoor equipment and atmospheres from contamination by oil drops or oil smoke.

Features
  • • Removes oil smoke, oil drops Abrasion from scattered pump oil is extremely low, greatly reducing the oil supply required by the pump.

    • Outstanding noise cancellation effect Extremely effective when starting pump operation from atmospheric pressure, when working in a low vacuum, and for gas ballast operation. Particularly effective for low-frequency sounds.

    • Oil recovery method can be selected (option). Using pumps with trapped oil inside shortens filter life and impedes pump operation. Mechanisms for recovering trapped oil can be selected according to the pump operating conditions. Contact ULVAC for the optimum mechanism.

    • Simple connection to pump The connection ports of the TM and TMX Series fit three standard pump vent sizes, making attachment simple. (Except for PVD, D-240DK and VS Series oil rotary vacuum pumps.)

    • Internal filter is cartridge type, for easy replacement. (Adapter is required to replace old-type TM-3.4.4S filter with cartridge filter.)

    *1 Always use correct oil mist trap for pump's evacuation capacity.
    *2 Adapters are required to connect to PVD and VS Series oil rotary vacuum pumps.
    *3 Oil recovery mechanism can't be selected for TMX-1 and 2.
    *4 Filters of TMX-1 and 2 (old types) can't be replaced with cartridge-type filters.
    *5 Oil mist traps other than TMX40, 60 or 80 are general-purpose types. They are not suited for evacuating corrosive gases.
